Ifedayo is a consummate corporate/commercial lawyer and currently holds the position of Senior Director, Legal – Africa in the Coca-Cola system. She oversees the legal practice and strategy of Coca-Cola’s operations in critical franchises and varying operations in Africa. Prior to this time, Ifedayo held various positions within the company including Legal Counsel- West African Business Unit, overseeing the Business Unit’s legal strategy in over 30 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before moving to Coca-Cola, Ifedayo was the Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary at CHI Limited, where she brought to the fore her years of experience in corporate and commercial law, legal practice and leadership of legal teams to support the company’s ambitious growth agenda and enhance its corporate governance and compliance standards.
Ifedayo began her legal career with the law firm of Chuma Anosike & Co., where she gained experience in intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and corporate and commercial law. She later joined the prestigious commercial law firm of Perchstone & Graeys, leading its corporate, commercial, company secretarial, and employment law groups. During her nine years at the firm, she rose through the ranks to assume significant leadership positions, including Head, Solicitors Department, and thereafter, the Head of Chambers and Practice Development, a role in which she had oversight responsibilities for all employees in the firm’s head office and branches. While at the same time growing her own legal practice, Ifedayo was charged with ensuring the professional development of lawyers and support staff, overseeing the human resources needs of the firm and coordinating the activities of the firm’s management and board.
A Legal 500 GC Powerlist 2024 awardee, Ifedayo was also awarded the ESQ Nigeria Legal Awards Top 40 under 40 in 2019. Ifedayo was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008, and has a Master in Law, and another in Business Administration. She is presently pursuing her Doctorate degree in Business Administration. A contributing editor/co-contributor to several international platforms and publications over time, such as the Employment Law Review by Law Business Research UK, the Global Edge Employment Law resource, the World Bank Doing Business Research Project, and the Overseas Anti-Corruption Project for top fortune 500 companies, Ifedayo is a proficient and prolific solicitor with invaluable experience from a wide-ranging legal practice. She is a member of the association of professional negotiators and mediators, with added certifications in ICT.
